Savencia Cheese USA Accounts Receivable and Credit Manager in New Holland, Pennsylvania

The Accounts Receivable & Credit Manager is responsible for managing the accounts receivable function for our US entities while complying with local accounting and taxation rules, respecting deadlines, and following Groupe Savencia's standards and procedures.

Essential Functions

  • Evaluates credit department procedures and maintains credit policies

  • Develops and maintains process and procedure documentation

  • Maintains A/R in current status through effective collection activity to achieve target

  • Oversees monthly A/R close process

  • Oversees Cash posting and deduction resolution

  • Ensures that disputes are resolved in a timely manner; coordinates efforts with A/R Specialists to obtain back-up documentation

  • Monitors bad debt activities and reports accordingly

  • Monitors and recommends customer credit limits and risks; identifies customers needing credit limit updates

  • Analyzes credit hold issues and releases as appropriate

  • Maintains accuracy of cash receipts daily for lockbox and wires

  • Maintains credit insurance limits, reporting, and customer master records in SAP

  • Processes credit applications on potential new customers and monitors progress of customer set up through completion of the credit file; maintains customer credit files

  • Creates and maintains dialogue between salespersons and brokers to facilitate timely collections

  • Carries out collections on customers

  • Carries out consistent/periodic credit reviews to ensure that all customers are reviewed annually

  • Prepares KPI reporting

  • Leads the Accounts Receivable team by supervising the smooth running of tasks for the AR team, motivating and training the team, and contributing to their personal development

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • 3+ years of Accounts Receivable management experience.

  • General knowledge of accounting and understanding of the pertinent accounts and how they function.

  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience.

  • Experience working with SAP systems.
