Aerotek Saw Operator in New Holland, Pennsylvania
Saw Operator needed in New Holland! Must have saw operating experience. Apply now for interview!
Shift: 1st - 5:00am - 2:30pm
Description:
Gang saw - Position involves taking incoming wood that was rough cut and lining it up on a conveyor system that will feed it to the mill area.
use cut off saw to cut boards to length
read a tape measure to mark accurate length
adjust fence and line up correctly on the saw
pull individual boards from stack of lumber and placing on belt
could require measuring the board to ensure consistency and the accurate boards are being selected and processed together
this will involve measuring and sorting the boards based on measurements and quality (this part will be trained and will come over time)
Must Haves:
ability to read a tape measure
production experience
saw operating
ability to multi task
