How will you make an impact in this role?

Key responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the acquisition SEO strategy, with the goal of delivering an increase in high value traffic to our website through natural search and maintaining the technical health of the site.

  • Partner with our SEO agency iXrossing to deliver a content plan that includes new content and existing content refreshes across our Credit Cards informational hub and our Life with Amex lifestyle content hub

  • Maintenance of existing content, supporting the wider business with Marketing and Product initiatives, keeping an SEO first approach.

  • Partnership with key internal and external stakeholders to identify and implement SEO strategies that will improve the health and performance of the site to increase conversions

  • Partnership with the broader American Express Teams to provide guidance on website and SEO best practice to contribute to overall SEO rankings and site health .

  • Local project management for internationally led initiatives involving site optimisation.

  • Partnership with key acquisition and wider business stakeholders to manage quality control of new page builds

  • Monitor and review key website metrics relating to organic website visits and conversion

  • Analysis of and creation of reports to drive insights into existing performance of the channel and provide recommendations for website optimization activities.

  • Lead the Marketing Co-Ordinator to help deliver against combined goals.

Critical competencies:

  • Proven experience in working with websites and a sound understanding and interest in SEO

  • Ability to think outside the box and find new ways to drive organic traffic to the site, such as

  • Experience in content creation, ideally SEO copywriting

  • Must be a team player with personal drive to work towards managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience managing multiple stakeholder relationships with strong negotiation and influencing skills

  • Strong analytical, creative and problem-solving skills

  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and accuracy

  • Positive, energetic, ‘can do’ attitude

  • Knowledge of Credit Cards, services and benefits, and/or understanding of the Financial Services Industry viewed favourably

  • 3 years working in Marketing
