Google Software Engineer, Board Support Package, Pixel in New Taipei City, Taiwan

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 1 year experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++).

  • Experience with data structures or algorithms.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.

  • 1 year of experience working with embedded operating systems, either bare metal or Linux.

  • 1 year of experience working on device drivers, system performance analysis, and/or debugging in an Android environment.

  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to manage changes and ambiguous tasks during the development phase.

  • Participate in software planning and development of bootloader and firmware.

  • Participate in bring up of new Pixel devices from SoC development boards to prototyping to mass production.

  • Design and implement core platform drivers and features in the areas of chassis and interfaces.

  • Design and implement debug, trace, and analytics solutions.

  • Debug difficult issues involving software, hardware, and SoC.
