Aerotek Mechanical Assembler in New Ulm, Minnesota
Job Description
We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Electric Motor Assembler to join our team. You will be responsible for assembling very small motors, weighing approximately 1 pound, in a repetitive and high-volume manufacturing environment. This role requires precision and attention to detail to ensure the quality of each assembled motor.
Responsibilities
Assemble and test electric motors using hand and power tools.
Follow manufacturing test procedures and implement continuous improvement ideas for the manufacturing process.
Read and interpret schematics and mechanical drawings to assemble components accurately.
Place parts in specified relationships to each other, either as sub-assemblies or final assemblies, by soldering, using clips, screws, or fastening parts together.
Rotate to different work stations as production needs require.
Assist in packing products into individual boxes and cases and place them on skids.
Inspect and gauge finished parts, make tooling adjustments, and handle and move supplies and materials.
Verify that outside labels and unit labels are consistent for all packet parts.
Clean equipment and work areas by performing daily and weekly safety checks of equipment.
Essential Skills
Electronic and/or mechanical assembly experience.
Ability to read schematics and mechanical drawings.
Experience with machine tool operations and operation of production tooling and fixtures.
Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, stand throughout the duration of the shift, bend, twist, and reach.
Ability to read, understand, and speak English.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
J-Standard certification is a huge plus but not required.
Soldering experience is a plus but not required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Ulm, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.76 - $19.76/hr.
