The Apple Pay Program team is looking for an Engineering Project Manager to drive Apple Pay projects. We deliver integrated system solutions for Apple Pay and work closely with a number of client and server engineering teams and third-party integration partners. We live in a fast-paced matrix organization where you will need to scope, plan and execute projects across multiple cross functional teams, effectively communicate project status, manage project risk, and drive continuous improvement. Description

As part of the Apple Pay Program team, you will be working closely with Wallet & Payments Services Engineering, Product, and multiple cross-functional teams within Apple, and external partners. You will have the opportunity to lead and facilitate cross-functional engineering discussions, coordinate and drive project timelines, resource allocation, scope definition and execution, from initial concept all the way to launch. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Drive Apple Pay projects end to end across the full lifecycle, from initial scoping to successful launch - Coordinate and track internal and external dependencies across project stages and gates - Proactively identify risks and collaborate with cross functional teams to define mitigation plans and drive resolution - Lead technical discussions with engineering teams and drive successful outcomes despite ambiguous requirements and multiple viewpoints - Collaborate with cross functional engineering as well as non-engineering teams including Marketing, Privacy, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Reporting, Analytics & Billing in order to drive a successful launch

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years of Engineering Project Management experience across a full project lifecycle; impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Strong technical intuition and understanding of basic engineering concepts with ability to grasp complex design and process problems and distill them into simple instructions

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally, collaborate and harness the powers of teamwork and drive successful project outcomes in an environment of ambiguity

  • Highly effective communicator, using both spoken and written; sharp interpersonal skills and understand how to communicate across varied audiences in a climate of debate

  • Results oriented, highly motivated and able to work under minimal supervision

  • Technical experience working with payment processors, issuers, networks, platform providers and leading e-commerce merchants within the payment industry

  • Understanding of product management, and managing go to market activities; able to think strategically, while driving tactical details

  • Ability to quickly respond to changes in business scenarios, projects and resources - adapting accordingly and positively

  • Ability to participate in and facilitate requirements brainstorming sessions

  • Ability to review and provide feedback on technical specifications, taking into account external and internal feedback

  • Technical experience to be able to diagnose and drive bugs and issues to completion

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
