*Pay Range: $100,000 – 110,000 USD annually
POSITION SUMMARY:
This is a hybrid role requiring on site attendance in New York as needed for client sessions and project needs. The Senior Producer in Post-Production/Finishing will oversee and manage the color workflow on assigned projects, client relationships & internal personnel.
MAIN DUTIES:
The Producer, Senior will be responsible for artist and client management as well as project management in the post production and finishing. Artist and client management involves the management of the elements, schedules, budgets and workflow for artists, drive artist schedule and manage Colorist session time, face to face interaction with Colorists regarding sessions, new specs, and clientele, while acting as the main point of contact for clients, via e-mail, phone, in-person meetings.
They will maintain effective communication with clients regarding deliverables and job status, including billing updates when workflow changes; work with coordinators to meet client needs, and e-mail prep guide, contact clients for specs and update all Work Order specs.
The Producer, Senior will also be responsible for project management duties as outlined below:
Bidding/Budget/Billing: Gather all key information necessary to bid & manage project. Regularly communicate budget status to clients and establish a project workflow with the HOP to fit the clients’ budget. Work with accounting to make sure the billing is properly done in accordance with the client’s needs.
Preparations for Projects/Sessions: Obtain all project details, source, delivery and shipping specs prior to the session. Ensure all specs fit within the clients booked time and will meet their delivery deadlines. Ensure clients are aware of how and where to deliver elements Make sure all necessary elements and prep are acquired prior to session allowing for adequate prep time. Organize, with the production coordinator, the set-up of all film scanning projects.
Execution of Job: Create Work Orders for all billable, non-billable, testing and pro bono work. Ensure that the production team is aware of any special set-up needs per project. Greet and escort clients to the bays upon arrival. Check in on artists, clients, color assists, and client services on a regular basis to make sure the session is well supported. The client should feel the producer’s presence and know that you are taking care of them.
Organize, supervise and monitor the progress of a session to make sure it is on schedule.
Make the production coordinator team aware of any known pick-up shots coming their way Update WO and the production coordinator team with any spec changes.
Communicate any machine downtime to production, operations, engineering, and clients and arrange for other solutions to keep the session on schedule.
Keep track of all elements pertaining to the projects being produced.
Final Delivery: Coordinate the delivery of all required elements by the desired deadline date with the client/vault. Prepare & send all elements (credit lists, still frames, completed commercials), to our PR division for proper publicity. Follow up with client after session to ensure all elements were received timely and accurately.
Additional duties include:
Downloading and organizing media from various sources, and delivering materials to a variety of clients, ensuring security protocols are all followed carefully.
Media Management: Import, organize, and manage digital media assets, including footage, sound effects, and visual effects plates.
Conforming and Syncing: Conform and sync footage to editorial timelines, ensuring accurate frame-by-frame alignment.
Shot Tracking and Database Management: Maintain and update shot tracking databases, logging and organizing VFX shots and their associated tasks.
Technical Tasks: Perform technical tasks such as transcoding, color correction, and basic compositing as needed.
WHAT YOU BRING:
The ideal candidate must be an experienced producer, with core strengths in finishing in a post-production environment. They must be able to communicate effectively with clients, directors, and other team members to understand project requirements and provide updates. They will possess strong problem-solving skills, able to troubleshoot technical issues and find creative solutions to challenges and have the ability to take ownership of both individual and team-based accountability toward results. Additional desired skills include:
Strong experience in Post Production and/or Finishing
The ability to handle high volume of emails, and problem solve on the spot
Maintain a can-do, results oriented approach to your work
Strong organization and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal communication
Ability to clearly delegate tasks to a large team to complete a common goal

*The listed pay range represents the lowest to highest range that we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. The benefits for eligible part-time employees working 25 or more hours per week and full-time employees in the US include a comprehensive package of health, retirement, and insurance benefits and paid time off.
