Daniel J. Edelman, Inc. Account Supervisor, Technology in New York, New York

The HP Products & Services Communication team is looking for an Account Supervisor to support the 3D Printing, Industrial and other B2B specialty printing programming. This person should have strong writing skills, experience with B2B storytelling - including customer case study development and experience working with trade publications - and the ability to work collaboratively with client and internal teams spread across multiple geographies in Europe.

This role offers the opportunity to shape stories that distill complex concepts into compelling stories about how technology shapes and evolves our world. You will also have the unique opportunity to work on large scale global businesses and collaborate with talented tech PR professionals across Edelman's worldwide network.

You also aspire to lead, to grow business and to set culture through your actions and viewpoints.

This candidate will be part of the extended HP team at Edelman and report into our Technology practice.

A great AS for the Edelman Technology team is someone who understands the technology sector, knows how to reach a variety of media audiences, and has an appetite to own and drive the kinds of integrated communications marketing campaigns that win awards.

Responsibilities:

    • The ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of storytelling, hands-on experience in earned media, social content development and moderation, message development and event management, familiarity with media and social media analytical tools, and excellent writing skills
    • Demonstrate an understanding of today's news and media landscape and the ability to think through how best to pitch a client's story to shrinking newsrooms
    • Understand key client information, including business strategy, industry issues, products and services, key customers and competitors
    • Provide client service administration support; attend meetings, handle scheduling logistics, and review agendas and recaps
    • Research, compile and analyze the media landscape, pitching the right influencers and outlets to advance the reputation of our clients
    • Write, edit and proofread materials including press releases, pitch letters, social copy and client correspondence
    • Participate in new business process including research, audits and proposal development
    • Demonstrate general knowledge of social media tools
    • Commit to continuous learning through internal and external training opportunities
    • Live the Edelman values (the relentless pursuit of excellence, freedom to be constantly curious and courage to do the right thing)

Qualifications:
    • A bachelor's degree
    • 4-6 years of related experience in earned media or communications experience, ideally in the B2B and consumer technology space
    • An understanding of the role of earned, social and influencer to drive results for clients. Experience in agency considered an advantage
    • Excellent writing skills across various formats and media
    • Media relations experience with demonstrated relationships and results
    • Proficiency with MS Office, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint is required

$67, 000 - $94, 000 a year

An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
