Description
Our client, an innovative and highly recognized organization located in NYC is currently seeking an Accounting Manager to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a highly visible role and effect change within a mission-driven organization. The team dynamic is community oriented - focused on transparency and collaboration. This position will play a key role in promoting the organization’s core values by working closely with key stakeholders to provide critical support and guidance. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing completion of the month-end close, preparing monthly account reconciliations, assisting with the implementation of internal controls, and leading coordination for the annual audit process. This position will also develop policies and procedures and address technical accounting issues. The opportunity is hybrid (3 days per week in office). Requirements
-BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or related field
-Minimum 5 years of experience
-Strong GAAP expertise
-CPA a plus
