Touro University Administrative Assistant, Pathology's Assistant Master's Program in New York, New York
Overview
To provide general administrative support to the Pathologists’ Assistant team members including, but not limited to, the following: To offer administrative support in managing the clinical rotation sites communications, maintaining affiliation agreements, writing, and implementing the clinical rotation schedules, sending, and collecting student and preceptor clinical rotation evaluations, student logs, and recruitment of new clinical rotation sites.
Responsibilities
Maintains student files during didactic and clinical years.
Responsible for typing memos, letters, and general correspondence.
Responsible for entering and updating information into the system and creating reports.
Creates files and follows up with any missing documents
Responsible for maintaining forms required.
Supports the admissions process.
Responsible for managing communications from prospective students including, answering questions, and forwarding certain communications appropriately, & mail requested documents.
Processes on-line documents.
Interacts with different departments.
Maintains master list.
Processes student requests including, but not limited to, excused absences accommodation.
Manages calendar and sets up appointments; creates weekly events activity.
Creates and distributes announcements.
Participates in interviews and attends meetings.
Creates and maintains meetings minutes.
Liaison between program director and clinical education coordinator and students.
Prepares requisitions for department and follows up on difficulties.
Responsible for inventory management and ordering supplies; keeps track of all orders by the department.
Responsible for student ID badges (issuing at first of semester and preparing "lost" badges).
Maintain relationships with vendors (White Coat, etc.) and contracts.
Event management support. Financial/purchasing responsibilities for department - travel reimbursements, ordering, etc. Contributes to team effort by performing other duties as needed/assigned.
Qualifications
Degrees
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities
General administrative duties required
Demonstrated ability to develop positive and cooperative relationships with students, faculty and colleagues required
Demonstrated proficiency in communication (written and verbal) required
Strong interpersonal skills
Well organized
Able to prioritize tasks Computer Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook
Physical Demands
Extensive use of computers
Excessive sitting and standing
Ability to lift 5 lbs
Maximum Salary
USD $58,000.00/Yr.
Minimum Salary
USD $46,400.00/Yr.
