Assistant Professor - Educational Psychology

FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The School of Education at The City College of New York invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Educational Psychology to begin in the Fall of 2024. The position requires a commitment to scholarly research and teaching resulting in publications and presentations, service to the department and college, and academic advisement. The successful candidate is expected to actively develop or maintain a systematic research agenda and publication record, seek external funding, collaborate with local school districts, teach foundations courses, advise students, and participate in committee work.

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Educational Pyschology or a related field.

• Experience teaching online, hybrid, and face-to-face courses

• Experience teaching undergraduate and graduate courses

• Commitment to urban education

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience teaching or working in an official capacity in public schools

• Ability to teach courses in other areas, preferably Special Education or Bilingual Education

COMPENSATION

CUNY offers faculty a competitive compensation and benefits package covering health insurance, pension and retirement benefits, paid parental leave, and savings programs. We also provide mentoring and support for research, scholarship, and publication as part of our commitment to ongoing faculty professional development.

Salary: $86,645 - $90,375
