AON Broker Specialist, Aon Global Client Network in New York, New York

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Aon Global Client Network in New York. As a Broker Specialist, you will report directly to the Team Leader. This is a hybrid role requiring the successful applicant to work both 2 days virtually and 3 days in the New York, NY office.

What the day will look like

The Broker Specialist is primarily responsible for working within systems and tools that support client deliverables and global communication with Aon’s international offices.

  • Track renewal activities within systems and manually in Excel.

  • Provide dynamic support to account team members and other internal stakeholders.

  • Management of relationships with relevant stakeholders including colleagues, suppliers, and clients.

  • Provide invoicing and other required surplus lines support.

  • Maintain product lists for new and renewal business.

  • The Broker Specialist will assist with preparation of client-ready reports, formatting and preparing documents for client review.

  • Following up on communications with Aon’s international network offices to complete data requirements

  • Review details of insurance placement and transpose data into database system

  • Assist brokers with system policy delivery to clients.

  • Work with elevated level of interest, energy, and enthusiasm to provide support that meets or exceeds client’s expectations.

  • Acts with responsiveness, urgency, and professionalism on all client matters.

  • Applies functional knowledge with basic organization structure and business knowledge to resolve straightforward issues with an impact on immediate area of responsibility.

  • The Broker Specialist will interact courteously, attentively, and confidently with internal colleagues, primarily to exchange information of a service nature.

  • Achieve an understanding of key facts and situations quickly. Recognize if more information is needed or if others should be consulted to resolve issues.

  • Applies acquired skills with company policies systems, and procedures to complete assigned tasks.

  • Demonstrates strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Efficiently performs related duties as assigned.

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • 1-3 years of data entry / Administrative experience preferably within the insurance industry

  • Excellent organization skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task

  • Ability to communicate effectively with others (written and oral).

  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and deliverables and track activity.

  • Exceptional PC skills (Outlook/calendar management, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) required.

  • Ability to learn and work within various systems that support client deliverables.

    Education: Bachelor’s degree is a plus

    Pay Transparency Laws:

    The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $53,000-60,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of New York, NY. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.
