Job Title: Case Administration Specialist

Position Summary

Epiq Bankruptcy Solutions operates a Case Administration department to process and maintain accurate information submitted primarily via mail from potential claimants. This person is responsible for the review and accurate processing of Proof of Claim forms, correspondence, tax forms and other related documents associated with Chapter 11 bankruptcy filings. This person is also responsible for researching; gathering and recording data points such as name and address information for specialized data entry projects. A Case Administration Specialist has interaction with cross-functional teams including Audit, Case Management, Consulting, Data Services and other Operations groups within Epiq Bankruptcy Solutions and Epiq Class Action.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Maintain and record accurate and timely time-detail entries.

Open, review, sort, date-stamp and distribute incoming mail

Assemble, label and file documents according to departmental standards

Maintain and track incoming and outbound client case files to/from storage facility

Assist with new client set-up tasks such as client profiles, scanning ids and document labels

Maintain intake, scanning, redaction and data entry tracker for all EBS proof of claim forms

Maintain master Bar Date tracker and coordinate notifications to impacted departments

Label and Scan documents processed by EBS associates

Review and redact documents containing privacy information

Audit document images to ensure scanning, redaction and processing accuracy

Monitor and address all incoming internal and external client requests within limited timeframes

Prepare data discs containing electronic case files and distribute as requested

Input case-specific information obtained from various documents into proprietary Case Management Database

Review legal documents/contracts to obtain and key name and address information to assist with the preparation of Schedules of Assets and Liabilities, Creditor Matrix and UCC Liens

Perform internet research to obtain and key name and address information to assist with the preparation of Schedules of Assets and Liabilities, Creditor Matrix and UCC Liens

Alter name and address data to conform to proprietary Case Management Database structure

Prepare proof of claim binders as per bankruptcy court requirements

Review, process and track electronically filed proof of claim forms via electronic court dockets and claims registers

Prepare and upload court claims registers as mandated by each bankruptcy court jurisdiction

Assist with case closing requirements as mandated by court orders such as the preparation of final court claims registers, creditor matrix, 2002 service lists and hard copy claim audits and packaging for submission to federal archives

Other projects as assigned by supervisors

Required Qualifications & Characteristics

1 years of experience in an inbound mail processing role (preferred)

Good verbal and written communication skills

Dependable and able to adhere to schedule

Effective listening skills

Attention to detail

Ability to work effectively in a high volume and sometimes stressful work environment

Ability to read, write and speak English

Ability to sit at work station for long periods of time

Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines

PC proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite

Bachelors degree in Communication, Business Management, Social Sciences or the Legal field or equivalent experience (preferred)

Candidates based in California, Colorado, Hawaii, New York, Vermont, Washington or Washington, DC:

The Compensation range for this role is 16.61 - 33.23 USD per hour and may be eligible for an annual bonus. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's location, skills, experience and qualifications.
