Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center Clinical Radiotherapy Physicist in New York, New York

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center seeks Clinical Radiotherapy Physicist to provide HDR brachytherapy treatment supervision, afterloader and applicators quality assurance, radioactive seed ordering and assay, HDR and LDR brachytherapy planning and plan checking; contribute to clinical operation developments (software/hardware) for HDR Prostate Brachytherapy and for Eye Plaque Brachytherapy; on-site clinical support and training for junior staff (50%). Provide External Beam Radiotherapy treatment including SBRT/SRS treatment supervision; initial chart check, weekly chart checks, end-of-treatments chart checks; Linac Quality Assurance (Daily, Monthly and Annual QA) (40%). Provide other Clinical Support including: Design, coding, and maintenance of informal technology systems for the management of radiotherapy operations: automatic assignments of treatment plans; automatic assignment of clinical shifts; automatic period quality control of external beam planning workload management; development of automatic planning script in Eclipse for external beam planning; design, coding and maintenance of support tools for quality control analysis at time of Chart Rounds of brachytherapy and external beam plan quality (10%). Part-time telecommuting permitted. Must work in office 3 days a week. EEO/VETS/ADA.REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Medical Physics, Physics, Engineering or a related field and 3 years of experience in the position offered or a related role. Must have 3 years of experience with Radiotherapy Physics. Must have 2 years of experience with the following: non-resident experience in HDR prostate, LDR Prostate, gynecologic HDR, eye plaque brachytherapy, itra-operative HDR and LDR brachytherapy, endobronchial and esophageal HDR brachytherapy; Linac Quality Assurance; design, code and maintain programs for optimization problems in radiotherapy, workload management, and API development for Qgenda. American Board of Radiology (ABR) or foreign equivalent certification in Radiotherapy Physics required.
