About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Control Management Director to join the Wealth and Invesment Management (WIM) control organization. This leader be part of the WIM Control Programs and Governance team with primary responsibility for managing the risk governance and escalations functions for the business.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and develop a team of risk management professionals to meet business objectives and strategies

  • Determine appropriate strategies and actions for process improvement to meet objectives

  • Make strategic decisions to resolve highly complex issues

  • Interpret and develop range of policies and procedures for business functions with moderate to high complexity and risk

  • Collaborate with and influence corporate heads, business heads, legal, risk and audit

  • Support consistent execution of Business Control Management responsibilities

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of Risk Management or Business Controls experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 4+ years of Management experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong demonstrable leadership skills

  • Self-starter interested in driving execution and discipline across the organization.

  • Meaningful knowledge across risk identification, risk appetite and strategy, risk-related decisions, processes and controls, risk analytics and governance

  • Demonstrated capability to confidently raise issues, escalate early, and engage in constructive credible challenge independently

  • Ability to prioritize competing priorities, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment

  • Experience in building and managing teams, developing talent, and providing strong, proactive leadership

  • Experienced in building constructive and effective relationships. Delivers on commitments and renegotiates when needed. Strong sense of accountability

  • Demonstrated negotiation skills, especially when partnering with senior management. This includes the willingness and ability to question decisions, understand direction and escalate issues, where necessary

  • Ability to synthesize data from a variety of sources and deliver results quickly

Job Expectations:

  • Onsite presence required 3 days a week at the posted locations

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$173,300.00 - $359,900.00
