Overview
The Data Manager role leverages giving platform analytics to uncover insights, track the effectiveness of our corporate giving programs, and help to craft compelling stories that showcase the efforts of our contributions in priority communities. The work of this role will inform strategic grantmaking decisions and turn grantmaking data into stories that drive impact, inspire change and illustrate how our corporate philanthropy drives positive change in our mission for a clean energy future for all New Yorkers.Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities- Develop and implement robust metrics to evaluate the success and reach of our corporate giving programs.
- Transform complex data into engaging narratives that highlight our corporate social responsibility achievements and influence stakeholders.
- Provide actionable recommendations based on data analysis to enhance our giving strategies and maximize impact.
- Manage charitable contributions budget processing and reporting using grants database.
- Provide oversight for grantmaking program, including monitoring expenditures, creating financial reports and ensuring that grant disbursements follow all financial and legal guidelines.
- Design and manage dashboards to track and report on advancement of departmental goals and objectives.
- Manage and map charitable giving to visually track state-designated disadvantaged and marginalized communities that benefit from the grant programs.
- Regularly update departmental website with relevant impact stories from grantee partners and coordinate with marketing and media relations on promotion strategies.
Qualifications
Required Education/Experience- Bachelor's Degree in Math, Business, Statistics, Computer Science, Public Policy or a related field is preferred. and at least three years of related work experience or
- Master's Degree in Business Administration is preferred. and at least two years of related work experience

- Experience managing budgets and grants databases (Benevity) Required
- Experience developing logic models and impact frameworks for nonprofit programs Required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience developing grant portfolio presentations Required
- Experience in data modeling and data visualization, analyzing and synthesizing data into narratives for internal and external audiences Required
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and present information and ideas clearly and accurately in writing, verbally and through preparation of reports and other materials Required
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, complex work environment Required
- Advanced Excel skills Required

- Driver's License Required
- Sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for the duration of the workday

- Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
- Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed.
- Must be flexible in work hours required.
