Standard Chartered Bank Director, Structured Export Finance in New York, New York

DUTIES: Responsible for origination from buyer and exporter clients, development, marketing, negotiation, and execution of Structured Export Finance ("SEF") transactions (loan arranger and advisory mandate) in SCB's footprint markets region with particular focus on the Americas and Americas Non-presence countries. Assume primary responsibility for all transactions and engagement with US EXIM. Explore, develop, and deepen relationship with DFC and PEFCO. Support the Americas Non-Presence Countries strategy execution. Use Export Finance, Multilateral and Developmental Finance products, and risk mitigation techniques to reduce credit and funding risks in both existing and future assets. Support Global Head SEF, Regional Heads of SEF and PF in implementing the business strategy and delivering on budgeted revenues, including running with own revenue budget. Provide execution support on project finance transactions. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Standard Chartered Bank policy.REQTS:Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Management, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position. Must have five (5) years of experience with: Originating, structuring, and executing Export Credit Agency/Multilateral/Development Finance Institution supported financing for corporate and institutional clients; Building, reviewing, and analyzing financial models/projections for ECA supported transactions using the provisions under the OECD arrangement on Officially Supported Export Credits to assess export content value, debt sizing, ECA premium, and loan tenor calculated for each transaction; Working with US manufacturers, exporters/suppliers, and government entities such as USEXIM and DFC, to structure and execute transactions in emerging markets in Africa, LATAM, the Middle East, and Asia; Managing and coordinating the loan documentation process by working with the legal counsels, project sponsor, borrower, and ECA(s) to ensure that all credit approved terms and conditions and security package are properly captured in the loan documents; Leading the execution of project finance and structured export finance transactions from pitching phase to closing, including client and project due diligence, credit and business approvals, term sheet drafting, legal documentation, preparation, presentation of information memoranda, and deal closing processes; Engaging closely and regularly with the leading global ECAs, DFIs, and Multilaterals to maintain an updated list of the eligibility requirements under their respective tied and untied programs; and Working with major ECA, DFIs/Multilaterals, and borrowers to deploy financing for complex transactions using non-standard structures and products, including sequencing, financing/reinsurance method, and aggregator approach.
