Future PLC eCommerce Director - Women's, Lifestyle, and Homes in New York, New York

As the eCommerce Director, you will lead the eCommerce team in the Women’s, Lifestyle & Homes vertical to build eCommerce affiliate revenues. You will form a crucial part of the Future's eCommerce leadership team and report to Simon Rawle (VP of eCommerce).

What you'll be doing...

This role will develop the eCommerce trading, analysis and strategic support function on our Women’s Lifestyle and Homes online properties.

  • Lead the Trading & merchandising function to understand and guide the performance of our content across core WL&H categories, channels & brands. Set, improve and drive the use of best practices for commerce content, working with our editorial teams.

  • Working with eCommerce leadership, trading analysts and content teams to exceed budget targets and build sustainable, diversified affiliate revenues.

  • Develop our Affiliate partnerships, building brand retailer and network relationships whilst supporting commercial peers in securing affiliate-led advertising revenues.

  • Partner with editorial leadership and online edit teams to create, implement and action successful commerce focussed strategies with an audience-first bias.

  • Drive platform initiatives alongside product leads to deliver the best online shopping experiences for users.

  • Influence at executive leadership team level, as part of the Senior Leadership Team, across the matrix organization to grow eCommerce and the wider organization

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve...

  • Experience transforming complex eCommerce funnel data, including website traffic and purchase trends, into compelling narratives that not only enhance our content strategy but also provide valuable, data-driven insights for our advertising partners, promoting engagement and revenue growth.

  • Experience at a senior level within the Fashion and/or Homes verticals, preferably within a publishing environment.

  • Experience leading a content monetization strategy for online fashion, beauty or homes categories.

  • Strong commercial mindset - able to spot opportunities to quickly deliver value and execute against these. Experienced in the affiliate space and with experience in value creation

  • Operationally deliver change across departments, with project management skills and the ability to be strategic and detail focussed in tandem

  • Analytically minded with a data driven mindset - striking the right balance between data-led decisions and taking calculated risks in a world of permanently imperfect information

  • Ability to influence at all levels and across departments, with experience of matric working

  • A pacey and engaging leader, able to inspire their team and the wider organisation.

  • Established relationships with marketing leads at leading Fashion, Beauty and homeware brands desirable but not essential.
