Actalent Environmental Project Manager in New York, New York

Job Title: Environmental Project ManagerJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager who is willing to work on a diverse range of projects in the Environmental Industry. You will provide both field work and office support to projects related to site investigations and environmental inspections. Your role will involve managing scope, schedule, budget, and estimating for both small and large size environmental projects. You will also be responsible for report writing, coordinating schedules with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors, and managing projects from start to finish. You will work efficiently both individually and with the Operations Manager and additional Environmental Project Managers, ensuring that all contractual and regulatory deadlines are met.

Responsibilities

  • Provide field work and office support for site investigations and environmental inspections.

  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, and estimating for small and large environmental projects.

  • Write and prepare reports.

  • Coordinate schedules with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors.

  • Manage projects from start to finish.

  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager and other Environmental Project Managers.

  • Track and meet contractual and regulatory deadlines.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in the environmental industry performing site assessments.

  • Experience with budgeting, proposals, and scheduling.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.

  • OSHA 10 certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working with clients and subcontractors.

  • Environmental science knowledge.

  • Environmental sampling and inspection experience.

  • Project management skills.

Work Environment

You will report to the Operations Manager and work within a team of 10-15 Environmental Scientists and Inspectors. The role involves a 50% split between office and field work. You will work on projects for NYC agencies, assisting the Operations Manager with proposals, budgeting, schedules, estimating, and planning. Field sampling will be required as needed. The office is located in Midtown, New York, and offers a fun culture with growth opportunities, happy hours, outings, and a strong emphasis on high-caliber work. The company also pays for any additional certifications needed during your first week of training.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $53.00 - $53.00
