JPMorgan Chase Events Management Senior Associate - Corporate Responsibility in New York, New York

The Corporate Meetings & Events Team is part of JPMorgan's larger Firmwide Events structure, responsible for delivering best in class events and programs for a range of clients inside and outside of the firm. The team, in close partnership with colleagues across all lines of business, manages the entire event planning process from conception through event completion.

As the Events Management Senior Associate in Corporate Responsibility (CR), you will support the strategy and execution for our CR department, which oversees the development and implementation of the firm's CR agenda and initiatives. You will report to the Vice President of Events for Corporate Responsibility on the Corporate Firmwide Events team, specifically supporting the Market Leadership Team (MLT) program, which encompasses 43 strategic markets across the U.S. and delivers the full force of the firm using a cross-LOB approach to grow our business and support local engagement with our clients, customers and employees. Working closely with MLT leadership and regional and national MLT team members, you will partner with and support the Vice President on an array of events designed to advance the firm's business goals in the communities we bank and serve. You will plan, manage, and execute client events both independently and as in partnership with the Vice President.

Job responsibilities:

  • Deliver strategic events programming that drives meaningful interactions with external and internal audiences, raises awareness of CR initiatives and efforts and support the department's goals. Provide strategic input and recommendations when collaborating with cross-functional project teams when executing programming, including complex in-person and virtual events that range from 10 to 1,000 attendees.

  • Plan and support all aspects of events with various degrees of complexity, including but not limited to: s ite selection via RFP process and vendor negotiation, manage invitation process and RSVPs (including creating regular and ad hoc reports), and total logistics coordination (setup, catering, décor, audio visual, speakers).

  • Create and print event collateral in partnership with graphic designer.

  • Coordinate, produce, and ship materials to/from events and ensure their ahead of time arrival.

  • Provide onsite event support with registration, setup, and other miscellaneous execution assistance

  • Invoice processing, monthly reconciliation of p-card statements, and budget ownership

  • Deliver JPMorganChase event standards at every level

  • Mitigate risk and compliance aspects for all events

  • Ensure department calendars, databases and systems are kept up to date

Required, qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in events and project management or closely related field

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to deliver messages clearly and succinctly

  • Ability to manage projects across businesses, functions and geographies and to build strong relationships with diverse audiences

  • Exceptional client focus, service ethic, and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work closely with executives

  • Self-starter, strong sense of ownership, extremely organized, detail oriented with strong commitment to accuracy, forward-thinking, proactive

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • High degree of professionalism, flexibility, good judgement and discretion . Calm appearance under pressure - ability to respond quickly and diplomatically to stressful, difficult, fast-paced and changing situations

  • Capacity to manage multiple people on the event site

  • Ability to work extended hours, which may include evening and/or weekend event support

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Ability to travel to offsite locations up to 50%
