General Counsel’s Organization:
As a member of the General Counsel’s Organization, this flexible and energetic Executive Assistant will provide administrative support to 4 Vice Presidents within the GCO. This role requires planning, prioritization, problem-solving and collaboration skills, strong communication, attention to detail and flexibility. The ideal candidate must be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative related tasks and be able to work independently and confidently under pressure. Building strong relationships, being resourceful, and knowing how to navigate large organizations fluidly will also be critical to success in this position.
Role & Responsibilities:
Help propel your team and business colleagues to success
Coordinate with executive offices across the Company to facilitate close coordination between the legal and the business teams
Organizing and maintaining complex calendars using a high level of tact, influencing and integrity, including scheduling across multiple time zones
Regularly interfacing with American Express legal and business executives, associates and other contacts
Creating and updating matters via the General Counsel’s Office Billing/Matter Tracking System
Reviewing and appropriately directing legal correspondence and filings
Booking meeting rooms and coordinating presentations, catering and audio visual needs
Managing end-to-end expense reporting and invoicing processes including submissions, review and monthly processing
Coordinating travel arrangements and logistics
Supporting the onboarding of new hires
Ordering office supplies and equipment
Support various ad-hoc projects as needed, including through substantive participation in meetings and use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
Are you ready for the challenge?
Minimum qualifications:
2 years of previous experience as an Executive or Administrative Assistant and familiarity with office management and technologies
Proven experience providing support to executives with exceptional organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills, a keen attention to detail and a sense of urgency in execution and follow-up.
Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook and comfortable adapting to new technology
Self-motivated, proactive team player with strong initiative
Strong attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy, quality, timeliness and follow through
Enthusiasm to work collaboratively and proactively with the broader Associate team and build relationships across the Company
Ability to work well in a dynamic and fast-paced organization and manage multiple tasks and conflicting and changing priorities with little direction.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (via phone, email, Webex and in-person)
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with American Express systems and processes such as Concur, Reserve, TechCare, Ariba etc
Bachelor’s degree a plus
Experience with legal support a plus

Salary Range: $24.05 to $48.10 hourly bonus benefits
