The ED Strategic Initiatives supports the Brand President in developing and executing key strategic initiatives across the Global Brand in partnership with our regions and functions and key transformation pillars in the Company. This lead role will collaborate with our business leaders to refine the Global Brand strategy, enable deployment of the initiatives from the strategy across the organization and drive complex projects from strategy to implementation. This role will also oversee and enable key activities as part of the Office of the Brand President.

Key responsibilities

This role operationalizes key projects and activities across Brand to ensure that systems, processes, and people are aligned and integrated to achieve key deliverables and outcomes. For the Global Brand, this role is responsible for the planning and implementation of large-scale strategic change initiatives.

This role will:

· Collaborate closely with the Brand President and key stakeholders on strategy development – driving ideation and design through co-creation – leading through influence, persuading without direct authority. Assess ELC’s business context across consumers, competitors, categories, channels, and geographies to update the strategy (3-year Strategic Plan).

· Develop the governance, manage and support complex projects and identify connections and interdependencies across the Brand, Regions and Functions, including ways of working.

Prioritization: In alignment with strategy, identify short term to long term brand priorities for communication and execution. Partner with teams to ensure sharing of information and timely deliverables.

Workstream Management: Defines workstreams, ownership, deliverables, and timelines by incorporating corporate guidance. Collaborates with the leadership team to activate and operationalize workstreams as needed.

Change Management: Partners with cross-functional teams to identify areas of opportunity and lead change management to improve our ways of working. This role will also drive the operationalization of our Active Derma mission and strategy.

Strategic Communications: In partnership with Global Communications and Global HR, ensure key strategic messages are shared with the broader teams in a timely manner via monthly town hall, emails, videos, etc. Provides advice, oversight, and guidance to projects of high significance and visibility. Manage communication and presentation of key strategic messages/initiatives to senior management, for Corporate Strategies / Board of Directors presentations, regional/market visits, and other ad-hoc items.

Leadership - As a representative of the Brand President this position requires a strategic thinker who can execute strategies, develop action plans, "connect the dots", execute activities to achieve the goals and deliver required results throughout the brand. Goals are achieved largely by influencing stakeholders across the brand and organization. Shares best practices across brand and functions. Collaborative relationship building is a critical skill.

Independence of Action and Accountability - While goals and priorities are agreed with the Brand President, the incumbent must be an independent achiever who does not require detailed direction or monitoring. Must independently plan, organize, set priorities, initiate, and deliver activities on a consistent basis. Excellence in execution is dependent upon communicating clearly defined purpose, allocating resources, and assigning roles. A high level of learning agility to assess and redirect, to recognize interdependencies and ensure alignment of strategies and activities is required.

Decision Making - All decisions related to leading this function effectively are the responsibility of this position and align with the strategy of the enterprise, cluster and brand. Represents the Brand President in key meetings and projects. Prioritization of Brand President long-term calendar and meetings to align with key priorities.

Problem Solving - Given the brand scope and complexity of projects, problem solving is a high impact activity.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 10 years Marketing, Finance or Strategy Preferred

MBA Preferred

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; strategic thinking and business advisory skills

· Financial business acumen is a critical requirement. Understanding ROI, financial levers, and the financial impact of decisions and resources on operational activities is critical in this role.

· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills including ability to build relationships globally

· Excellent organization, presentation and writing skills

· Demonstrated success in the leadership of multiple projects that have driven enhanced value via identification of growth initiatives and/or cost efficiencies.

· Utilize syndicated data where available to analyze market trends and identify growth opportunities and / or gaps in our portfolio.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $149,500 to $257,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
