Job Overview:

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing financial data, detecting trends, identifying and analyzing potential financial risks and opportunities, and providing insights to support business decisions. He/She prepares financial reports and forecasts, evaluates financial performance, identifies areas for improvement, and communicates financial information to management. He/She will also mentor junior analysts and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and projects.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, research and digest data, at both the company and business unit level, to explain financial and operational trends

  • Summarize analyses and prepare reports for presentation to senior management and stakeholders to facilitate decision making and drive improvements

  • Support FP&A and various business units with ad-hoc project support, analyses, and issue resolution

  • Assist with preparation of operating/cash flow forecasts

  • Develop financial information including metrics, models, charts, tables and other exhibits to measure the effectiveness of the business operations

    Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Familiar with BI tools like COGNOS and Microstrategy.

  • Proficient in MS Office, with advanced knowledge of Excel and other financial software

  • Good interpersonal skills, detail oriented and organized

  • Ability to present financial information to a non-financial audience

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    Preferred Education, Experience and Licenses:

  • A degree in business, finance, accounting (Associate or Bachelor’s) or a related field

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant financial analysis and modeling experience

  • Knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting and supply chain a plus
