Morgan Stanley Internal Communications Associate - Intranet Product Owner in New York, New York

Internal Communications has become a centerpiece of the employee experience, linking colleagues to business strategy, resources and each other. With the intranet increasing popularly, Internal Communications seeks a Product Owner for the Intranet Content Management System (CMS), Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), to further drive the roadmap for AEM, and evolve our internal communications platforms and channels to improve the employee experience. This is an empowered and high-profile position that is responsible for socializing updates; presenting to senior management; and leading the testing of new releases. The Associate will work closely with colleagues in Corporate Communications, Marketing, Technology, Corporate Services, Investment Management and Human Resources, as well as business unit clients and senior management. The Intranet platform includes integrations with Firmwide Directory, Firmwide Search and Social Collaboration platforms.

Job Responsibilities: - Define and prioritize the product roadmap, release planning, and development and communication of business requirements - Assist with critical user journeys, use cases, workflows, and business processes that align with the product vision/goals and address critical user and control needs - Support prioritized product backlog - identify, groom, and validate epics and user stories for agile sprints; Assist with backlog refinement and sprint planning ceremonies to communicate requirements - Collaborate with key stakeholders from business, technology, UX, communications, and internal clients to elicit requirements - Understand the overall business design and processes for the existing managed program already in place, and functionality of the current platform. - Own production issues reported by support, which includes tracking, prioritizing, communication, and overseeing prompt resolution. - Prepare presentations, user demos and status updates - Gather, organize, and assimilate internal and external feedback to identify and prioritize product gaps, enhancements, and new features - Collaborate with UI/UX team to develop information/interaction architecture, user flows, wireframes, and visual design comps - Team up with program management office to effectively organize and plan product releases - Create templates and landing pages for internal clients - Track KPIs and product/program adoption and usage metrics - evangelize for adoption - Provide strategic communications planning and execution support for engaging and communicating with internal audiences across the Firm. - Establish best practices and governance protocols for new content platforms and develop process to review existing platforms before migration to achieve consistent content management capabilities, user experience, brand and search across the intranet. - Set Roadmap for AEM enhancements and integration with Firmwide Directory, Search and Social Collaboration platforms. - Attend daily stand up with development team and provide BU updates in Agile process - Translate requirements into user stories and jiras, a flexible and scalable issue tracker used in Agile

Skills Required: - Knowledge of UX and/or graphic design, analytics and/or internal digital platform management experience is highly desired. - Demonstrate a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to balance a workload of multiple assignments for various parties in a fast-paced environment. - 2-3 years of experience as software or digital product manager / project manager / product owner, business analyst or equivalent with experience working within an agile/scrum development process - Proficient at defining, analyzing, documenting, and communicating product and software requirements in an agile software development setting - Energized in executing collaboratively - Keen intellect - ability to gather, analyze and synthesize a significant amount of information, and turn it into clear and actionable product requirements - Naturally curious, analytical, and data-driven - demonstrated track record of utilizing data to measure performance, identify opportunities, and make successful decisions - Experience collaborating with UI/UX designers and developers to deliver client-friendly products and user experiences - Understanding and knowledge of web and mobile technologies - Differentiated written and verbal communication skills able to effectively interact and influence a diverse set of business and technical stakeholders - Efficient at managing multiple projects and initiatives concurrently under deadline constraints - Bachelor's degree is required - Knowledge or exposure to finance industry and or communications is preferred - Demonstrated track record of delivering new innovative fintech, digital products, solutions, or applications preferred

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $80,000 and $110,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
