This role will be responsible for all aspects of software development, testing and ensuring compatibility with enterprise and solutions architecture by harnessing modern development technologies. Business Unit Overview:

The Aladdin Provider Technology team within APG-Investment Operations Group is responsible to provide innovative, best-in-class engineering solutions to bring the Asset Managers and Asset Servicers closer to bring efficiencies in the post trade value chain. Team is responsible for building cross-organizational technology capabilities which are repeatable to cater to Aladdin and Aladdin Provider clients. The engineering team utilizes modern technology languages and solutions to build data pipelines, API(s) and Event Based streaming systems.

These are high volume technology solutions which are built for resiliency, scale, and performance. We leverage many open-source technologies for building distributed, resilient, and highly scalable systems. We are responsible for the development and expansion across all the stages of the Post Trade Lifecyle.

We are a global team with employees based in New York, London, San Francisco, and Gurgaon.

Responsibilities

· Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills to contribute as a member of global, distributed teams focused on delivering quality technology solutions.

· Develops, enhances, debugs, supports, maintains, and tests software applications that support business units or supporting functions.

· Participates in the design, development, and implementation of complex applications, often using new technologies.

· Demonstrate ability to rapidly learn new and emerging technologies

Qualifications

· Bachelors or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related discipline

· 4+ years hands-on experience developing complex enterprise software systems.

· Strong Programming expertise in Java software development and related technologies

· Proven experience on SQL and No-SQL databases

· Strong understanding of Data Structures & algorithms

· Experience on frameworks like Spring/Spring-boot and hibernate is a must

· Proficient with Software Development Live Cycle

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

· Demonstrate ability to be a self-starter and learn quickly

Nice to have

· Some Experience with Cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, Kafka, Cassandra, Docker, Kubernetes

· Knowledge of Finance, Investments and Post Trade processes

· Knowledge or experience of AI related technology, such as LLM and Copilot

For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $132,500 - $157,500. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model
