We are seeking an enthusiastic, engaged engineer who can complement our existing practices and capabilities to support our growing civil engineering staff. Candidates will have a degree/advanced degree in civil engineering with 5 to 7 years of experience. You will independently manage all aspects of multiple or large projects from a technical/administrative aspect. Train and mentor junior technical staff.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for scope, schedule, budget development, monitoring for projects being managed

  • Assist Market Leaders with client development, opportunity research and proposal development

  • Communicate backlog and project needs to Senior Project Manager, make recommendations for distribution of work throughout the unit to maximize utilization and meet project schedules. Identify and collaborate to utilize resources required to complete projects across all Units

  • Coordinate Quality Assurance/Quality Control of key deliverables and assisting on projects managed by others

  • Work with Accounting to conduct and support invoicing and collections

  • Perform employee reviews. Coach and mentor staff to ensure their own professional development

Qualifications-

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.

  • 4-year Engineering Technology Degree, successful passing the Fundamentals of Engineering exam (FE) and previous Project Engineer title or

  • Professional Engineer License (PE)

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Effective technical writing skills. MS Office, AutoCad, and Civil 3D. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Strong ability to effectively communicate technical information to all types of people, both verbally and in writing; multitask and coordinate confusing and often conflicting priorities; strong communication, decision-making, analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills. Contractor oversight and organizational skills.

Salary Range: $115,000 - $140,000
