Join Brown and Caldwell as a Process Mechanical Designer and take the lead role under the guidance of a Senior Engineer on diverse wastewater and environmental projects. Your primary focus will be on wastewater treatment plant design, water treatment design, advanced treatment, and pumping system designs. Projects will vary from medium to large scale, providing you with an opportunity to tackle new challenges and grow your expertise. Your responsibilities will include preparing design calculations, P&IDs, drawings, specifications, and technical reports for municipal water and wastewater projects, as well as collaborating with drafters and designers on construction documents.
Hard Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Chemical Engineering
3-8 years of experience in wastewater design, treatment plant design, pumping system design, or Industrial Design
Experience with construction documents, including drawings, P&IDs, specifications, control narratives, and technical reports
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and MathCAD
Experience in Management Task Design and Management Lead Design

Work Environment
This role is a remote opportunity, allowing you to work from anywhere in the North East. You will be part of the Process Mechanical Group, which consists of 75 members, including 12 engineers and 4 designers supported by BIM and CAD operators. The Group Discipline Leader oversees the department, ensuring a structured and supportive work environment.
