Edelman is looking for our next Senior Account Supervisor to join our growing Health practice! This opportunity is perfect for an energized, globally minded professional with an interest in working at the intersection of partnerships, policy, and public health programs.
Edelman's Health Sector team provides a wide array of communications and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of healthcare clients. This role will be dedicated to supporting one of our firm's largest global public health clients in their efforts to create strong multi-sector partnerships, enabling policies, and impactful programs that advance health equity in every part of the world. The work is global in nature, spanning stakeholder engagement strategy, partnerships, multilateral affairs, global forums, operations/logistics, and market intelligence.
The ideal candidate for this Senior Account Supervisor role will have some academic and/or professional background in public health, international relations, global development, multilateral affairs, or other related fields. They will have the opportunity to engage directly with clients that are at the forefront of private-public collaboration in global health while collaborating with and learning from leaders in Edelman's growing global public health offering.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee operational performance of projects, ensuring quality work, deadline and budget adherence
- Play a major role in creating and managing against strategic plans for stakeholder engagement, global forums, policy advocacy efforts and partnership and program design.
- Serve as daily client contact and act as client lead when appropriate, address client issues thoughtfully and effectively
- Consistently produce high quality internal and external content including assets like subject matter briefings, market intelligence reports and key messages for direct stakeholder engagement
- Build relationships with third-party influencers and internal business partners to meet client needs
- Support team by motivating, coaching, consistently providing feedback, holding them accountable, and conducting initial reviews
- Commit to continuous learning and improvement of leadership skills; set and pursue stretch goals
- Contribute to business growth through introducing clients to new capabilities, building network of industry contacts and participating in relevant professional organizations
- Generate creative ideas and help to lead multiple client programs simultaneously
- Possess a solid understanding of the current global public health landscape, issues shaping the global health agenda, and the key actors in the space

- Ability to establish yourself as a key strategic point of contact for your clients and ensure your accounts deliver for your clients and the business as a whole.
- Build and demonstrate a deep understanding of your client's business, their objectives, and their environment. This should include your client's business strategy, competitor strategies, industry issues, and business and cultural trends; and ensure alignment across client stakeholders.
- Demonstrate understanding of Edelman's integrated offer and capabilities and begin to introduce to clients - demonstrate ability to coach clients on best practice working with an integrated agency and ensure specific integration.
- Upskill and familiarize yourself on client processes, completing all necessary trainings.
- Demonstrate leadership in the areas of account management, strategic counsel and financial management
- Motivate your teams to produce quality work that delivers against client expectations and ensure flawless execution of key milestones, specifically ensure each mid-junior level colleague is clear on and accountable for the projects they are leading/ supporting to ensure their empowerment and contribution.
- Lead your account teams in managing their workloads and leverage/develop their skills to achieve the best output for your clients.
- Be proactive in supporting the team, offering solutions and be willing to raise your hand to support.
- Ensure flawless team execution of key milestones and clear communication with on timelines, taking full responsibility for output quality.
- Facilitate positive team environment and culture among Edelman teams across global network

Basic Qualifications:
- At least five years of relevant experience in public relations and/or related fields including research, advertising, management consulting, media and publishing.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience effectively managing multiple sizable account (including financials) and serving as the daily client contact simultaneously.
- Superior written and verbal communications skills along with the proven ability to consistently make sounds judgments and effectively motivate and manage teams.
- Ability to create strategic operations processes/plans, develop strong briefing materials on relevant subject matter, implement stakeholder engagement tactics, and impart knowledge to more junior team members.
- Strong project management, research, analysis, writing, and client interaction skills; perform well under pressure; embrace feedback and coaching; and be a team player.
$79, 000 - $115, 000 a year
An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
