City of New York Senior Contracting and Fiscal Operations Analyst in New York, New York
Job Description
The New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) invests in a network of community-based organizations and programs to alleviate the effects of poverty and to provide opportunities for New Yorkers and communities to flourish. The Workforce Connect division manages a portfolio of programs that seek to expand opportunities for New York City’s young people through employment programs that help youth ages 14 to 24 gain work experience, acquire necessary work readiness skills and further their education. These programs serve over 100,000 youth annually and include offerings for in school and out of school youth and adults. DYCD funds a network of community-based organizations to deliver youth workforce development programs across the City. The Workforce Connect division is seeking a Senior Contracting and Fiscal Operations Analyst to join the Workforce Connect Policy, Integration and Operations team to support the division’s contracting and fiscal functions.
Key tasks will include:
Create and maintain contracting and contract budget details including award amounts, dates, and other key details;
Create and maintain Workforce Connect program budgets and manage changes to them throughout the fiscal year;
Provide assistance to Workforce Connect contractors on budget and contract questions, include contract and budget statuses in the City’s Passport contracting and payment system;
Act as main point of contact between Workforce Connect and DYCD fiscal management on contracting and fiscal items, including submitting contract details to fiscal management timely;
Support the division’s leadership by responding to requests for information from multiple systems for reporting, management analysis and decision making;
Participate in and contribute to Agency workgroups as assigned.
Qualifications
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
