Description We are looking for a Database Administrator to join our team in New York. This role will involve working with teams in a fast-paced technology organization where you will be responsible for the full development life cycle of complex data projects. This includes designing and developing efficient and reusable components, creating scalable and secure data pipelines, and implementing data quality, security, and governance standards across different cloud environments.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and support of complex data pipelines in cloud environments

• Extract and manipulate data from various sources, including in-house and external databases

• Build complex database logic and APIs to automatically fetch and store data in various forms

• Architect and develop efficient and reusable components that drive complex applications

• Implement data quality, security, and governance standards and best practices across different cloud environments

• Design and build the integration between data management tools

• Maintain and improve data solutions across different cloud platforms, such as AWS or Google Cloud

• Understand data structures, algorithms, and software architecture for the detailed testing, and documentation of complex systems

• Ensure the secure movement and storage of data

• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists and IT operations to transform data for building a new generation of data and artificial intelligence products

• Provide technical leadership for development projects and provide consultation and guidance to other team members

• Implement modern DevSecOps practices and tools

• Use Agile methodologies and tools (i.e. Jira, Scrum, Kanban) in the development process. Requirements • Demonstrated experience in IT operations and workstation support

• Proficient in database management and administration

• Familiarity with hiring processes, onboarding, and HR administration

• Experience in design and component selection for IT systems

• Understanding of security best practices and configuration management

• Knowledge of Agile Scrum and experience with JIRA

• Proficiency in Python and R Code

• Experience with cloud technologies, specifically AWS technologies

• Understanding of data management and storage best practices

• Degree in Computer Sciences or a related field is preferred

• Familiarity with integration practices and agreement negotiations
