MPG Operations LLC Senior Data Scientist in New York, New York
The Senior Data Scientist (multiple openings) at MPG Operations LLC in New York, NY analyze datasets to generate key descriptive statistics. Join a team of content specialists, data scientists, analysts and engineers who are responsible for discovering, maintaining, and analyzing sources of alpha for our portfolio managers. Clean historical data and monitor data quality for live data. Utilize and maintain a world-class data processing and transformation engine. Build technology tools to acquire and tag datasets. Engage with vendors and brokers to understand characteristics of datasets. Maintain data documentation. Research corporate actions and events that cannot be handled by our systematic process. Ensure accurate and consistent symbology across datasets. Utilize programming languages such as Python, C++, Java, and C#. Train and mentor team members. Salary: $175,000 - $250,000 per year. Minimum Requirements: Requires a Master's degree in Financial Engineering, Quantitative Finance, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field, plus 2 years in a professional time series data analysis and modeling occupation in the finance industry.
