The Sr. Director of Global Merchandising is the leader of product merchandising for the global Calvin Klein Underwear Men’s community. They are responsible for the development of all global merchandising dashboards as well as the consolidation of global information to support and build global strategies for the category.
Using strong collaborating and influencing skills, this position serves as the lead conduit between the global design team and the individual regions. With support of analysis from the Global Merchandising team and individual regions, they ensure that product meets specific merchandising objectives, revenue targets and goals.
Primary responsibilities:
Responsible for supporting the VP Merchandising for the product vision and global merchandising guidelines for all Calvin Klein Men’s Underwear lines for all design teams to consider the business on their design briefs.
Partners with regional merchandise managers in the development & translation of their regional needs as well on the regional results.
Responsible for collaborating, influencing, and driving alignment through the different regional teams, to identify one way of translating.
Brings customer and market perspective to the design. Thoroughly understands the Brand's target customer by staying on top of attitude and lifestyle trends.
Analyzes seasonal business by supervising sales information in order to find opportunities to improve assortments and margins.
Leads the technical and merchandising teams; identifies staff strengths and areas for development; recognizes positive performance and results and counsels non-performing employees.
Partner with VP Design on all Product & Strategic Initiatives, both long and short term.
Qualifications & experience:
Experience:
8-11 years of product development/merchandising experience; preferably in Retail & Intimate Apparel
Proven track record managing a team of 2 or more people in differing functions
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field
Skills:
Strong problem-solving, interpersonal and organizational skills
High level of analytical skills and conceptual creative ability;
Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills;
Ability and willingness to travel to Europe and Asia 3-4 X per year;
Knowledge of fabrics as well as garment construction, including bras;
Proven understanding of garment costs and gross margin formulas
Internal & external contacts:
Internal: Global Chief Product Officer, VP Merchandising, Strategy, Global Design Officer, Division Presidents, and Regional Merchandising teams
Supervisory responsibilities:
Direct: Merchandiser, Associate Merchandiser
Indirect: Assistant Merchandiser
BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Works directly with Global Chief Product Officer and VP Merchandising on all matters involving the team budget
DECISION MAKING: Ability to make critical decisions regarding product, strategy, and their team, and have the ability to translate decisions into actions.
RESOURCEFULNESS/CREATIVITY: Must be an influencer and keen negotiator with ability to achieve global alignment to product strategies while understanding regional nuances; ability to handle multiple tasks/projects with adherence to deadlines; must be meticulous and able to find the best solutions and development methods to improve efficiency; must be flexible to adapt to changing trends of business and/or ad-hoc projects
ENVIRONMENT: Fast-paced creative environment; work directly with global regions to ensure the efficient function of line selection.

Pay Range:$175,000 - $200,000
PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills.
