Kensho Technologies LLC Senior Infrastructure Engineer in New York, New York
Kensho Technologies LLC seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer who will serve as a software developer responsible for designing, building and maintaining a distributed multi-region cloud architecture for hosting the company’s software products and providing infrastructure services such as automated deployment and testing, monitoring, log and metrics collection, network connectivity, load balancing, and data storage. Analyzing performance and designing and implementing solutions to improve accuracy, speed, and ease of use of our infrastructure systems. Designing, developing and deploying software to build our own tools and software for infrastructure services. Applying DevOps principles while developing software, including testing, documentation, continuous deployment, automation, and taking end-to-end ownership. Working with the Site Reliability Engineering team and the customer support team to help them identify and fix any escalated customer issues. Participating in code and design reviews. Mentoring junior developers and interns. Evaluating, installing, integrating, and maintaining third-party cloud software. Fixing relevant bugs in third-party open-source software and provide patches to upstream authors.*Telecommuting permitted within normal commuting distance of New York, NY officeJob Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related IT field plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or related occupation. 1 year of experience must include: Designing and writing computer programs using Python and Shell languages; installing, configuring and upgrading third party, open source or proprietary infrastructure software; designing and developing integrations between infrastructure software; investigating and fix software bugs; participating in design and code reviews; and analyzing and improving efficiency and stability of various system resources.The anticipated base salary range for this position is $139,050 to $170,400. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses & certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
