A Day in the Life Requirements

• Strong technical mastery of all research disciplines and fundamentals (qual/quant) from study designs to delivery of actionable and strategic recommendations

• Proven ability to self-motivate/self-manage

• Collaborative leadership skills

• Comfort with ambiguity

• Ability to see big picture without sacrificing details

• Impeccable project management and creative problem-solving and multi-tasking skills

• Prioritization & Organization

• Strong Interpersonal Skills (written and oral)

• Demonstrated competencies in Leadership, Entrepreneurial Management and Resilience

• Strong curiosity, appreciation/interest in beauty and role of aesthetics

• Must be professional, energetic with a positive attitude and have the confidence to persevere challenges

• PC Proficiency (PowerPoint & Excel)

• Consumer package goods or beauty industry experience plus

• Experience in running and managing Global Market Research projects desired

Responsibilities

• Help shape research plans and in implementations for MNY DMI on Lip category and other supplemental projects depending on business needs (Developed and Emerging Worlds)

• Translate business questions into research plans and recommend/develop tools and appropriate sample specs

• Supervise agency and navigate business partners (i.e., Marketing) and flawlessly execute validation projects and multi-task (e.g., concepts, products, packs, advertising, cause, etc.) with some supervision

• Use wide variety of qual and quant techniques and tools

• Never fail to deliver actionable and strategic recommendations to drive business

• Create (and monitor/amend) yearly research plan for the categories managed in order to meet the budget requirement

• Contribute to maintaining the role of insight function as an unescapable business partner

• Maximize resources/budget though modernizing tools, while ensuring rigor and actionability in all research and analytical activities

• Help drive insight-driven culture and decision-making

• Socialize and champion CPD-wide insight initiatives (e.g., equity monitoring, segmentations, etc.)

Deliverables

• Building consumer centricity in all brand activities

• Full and effective storytelling of insights both written and verbally

• Ownership of all project activities, including recommendation of sample specs, executing and comprehensive reporting with actionable and strategic recommendations on brand and categories managed

• Supervision and management of External research partners

• All projects completed within budget and on time

• Value-add ad-hoc insight projects

  • Salary Range : $119,900– $170,800 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level.)
