Wolters Kluwer Senior Marketing Communications Specialist - Corporate (NY City-Hybrid) in New York, New York

Note: This is a hybrid position where you will be required to work onsite (28 Liberty St. NY, NY) at least twice a week.

The Global Communications team at Wolters Kluwer, which is responsible for elevating the overall company narrative and bringing a consistent, strategic message to our key internal and external stakeholders, is looking for a Senior Marketing Communications Specialist to manage communications for the company’s Global Business Services (GBS) function.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Marketing Communications Specialist for our Global Business Services function, you will support a variety of technology, finance and business strategy initiatives while promoting a broad range of employee engagement programs. GBS’ goal is to make things simple, better, and efficient for employees across the organization. You will support that goal by communicating the deployment of enterprise tools and resources, preparing regular contributions to existing employee channels and curating content for a diverse array of employees in multiple countries around the world. You will work as part of a team to contribute ideas and improve our overall digital content strategy, communicating across teams on a regular basis.

Primary Responsibilities

Content Creation

  • Work with stakeholders across GBS to conceptualize and develop comprehensive comms plans and short form content in support of the rollout of new tools, resources, and products.

  • Collaborate closely with subject matter experts and leaders to develop and co-create communications programs and content to promote key solutions.

  • Conceptualize, research, and prepare content including the development of thematic articles, monthly tips, spotlight stories, product overviews and case studies to promote GBS services.

  • Support year-round webinar series including content development, speaker prep, presentations, and event promotion.

  • Create a steady drumbeat of ongoing content for distribution across channels for a variety of employee engagement programs like Code Games, Values Day, and Global Innovation Awards.

  • Produce content for product landing pages, infographics, digital campaigns, employee newsletters, and company intranet articles.

  • Contribute to and support ongoing employee engagement programs (virtual spirit week, diversity celebrations, employee milestones, etc.) through the creation of human-interest stories and by building interactive opportunities for staff to connect.

  • Support content marketing efforts for GBS SMEs and topics including researching speaking/award opportunities, developing an editorial calendar, and preparing content with business leads.

  • Work with Director of team on executive messaging and content i.e., monthly newsletters, video messages, etc.

  • Proofread and edit a variety of written and visual content before going to production. Must be able to edit and improve grammar, content structure, and overall quality.

Other Responsibilities

  • Handle technology-related crisis communications, coordinating across the business including review with legal and senior stakeholders (i.e., cyber incidents, technology outages, etc.)

  • Support technology acquisitions by creating communication timelines, new materials and socialization plans across teams.

  • Maintain ongoing analytics on programs and rollouts, regularly providing insights into content types and their performance; Oversee dashboard for GBS website.

  • Support Director with a variety of production elements including signage, videos, branding, presentations, agenda creation, session logistics, promotion etc. for a variety of executive events including town halls, coffee connections, leadership summits, etc.

  • Format product-related content into multi-media templates for distribution to broad audiences; Develop new templates using existing tools as needed (PPT, Canva, etc.)

  • Use content management systems to schedule and publish content across numerous internal platforms including SharePoint and Viva Engage (Yammer).

  • Consistently review internal websites to ensure material is up to date, remove broken links, maintain site search functionality, etc.; Regularly add new content and work with developers to expand current features.

  • Maintain distribution lists and monitor shared mailboxes.

  • Maintain digital asset databases including photo library, bio database, overview presentations etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or Journalism or equivalent experience

  • 4+ years experience in marketing and/or communications.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including modern SharePoint pages.

  • Outstanding writing and editing capabilities

  • Experience and comfort with content management systems

  • Expert-level attention to detail and deadline-oriented

  • Excellent editing and copywriting skills; able to edit and improve on content written by other team members.

  • Strong verbal and written presentation skills including ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner; Ability to adopt different writing styles and voices depending on the subject and audience.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, under pressure quickly, effectively, and efficiently.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively and build relationships across all functions and levels within the organization.

  • Travel will be minimal; approximately once or twice a year for two to three days.

Highly Preferred

  • Relevant writing experience in content marketing, copywriting, or equivalent, including internships, volunteering, or on-campus newspaper, etc.

  • Experience with Adobe Workfront is a big plus.

  • Experience managing a blog and/or other social media channels, professional or personal.

  • Experience using Google or Azure Analytics or equivalent.

  • Video editing experience for short-format content

  • An eye for design and photography

  • Knowledge of pre-and-post video production a big plus

Compensation:

Target salary range CA, CT, CO, HI, NY, WA: $93,400-$130,600
