We are looking for someone who can come in and make an immediate impact. The ideal candidate is someone who exudes confidence and is able to educate and aid the development and understanding of paid media across the team. This person is expected to manage their time and work autonomously with oversight into the entire media planning process in their market and support other markets if needed.

The global Senior Media Planner is a crucial member of our organization and will be responsible for:

  • Understanding the paid media landscape staying up to date on trends and technologies.

  • Be a steward of strategic planning and tactical communications providing recommendations on investment strategy, channel mix and recommended media to internal leaders and external clients.

  • Supports the media planning and buying process for assigned client accounts by translating client briefs into ideas and actions that expand communications planning influence.

  • tools to develop strategic communications plans based on go-to-market plans/ execution strategy, rationale and buy structure to deliver on campaign goals.

  • Execute on and manage our paid media model and services offering which includes search, social, display, video, and digital OOH, etc looking for ways to specialize in platforms in order to stand out.

  • Collaborate with internal and external resources such as brand strategy, creative strategy and the global paid media team to evaluate, implement and maintain a media plan.

  • Create playbooks for marketing and strategy team to ensure the team understands paid media function and thoughtfully scale media capabilities.

  • They are an expert in paid media tools needed to plan and optimize paid media campaigns efficiently. This may include analytical tools and advertising competitive tools.

  • Utilize data and insights to optimize media plans for maximum performance and ROI.

  • Negotiate and secure media placements with publishers and ad networks, ensuring competitive rates and optimal placement.

  • Monitors campaign performance toward established KPIs as well as ad creative results to provide regular reports, optimizations and ways to improve. Present insights, QBRs and post campaign reporting to clients.

  • Works with activation stakeholders to traffic launch and campaign deliver to ensure flawless implementation of media plans.

  • Able to manage and prioritize workload to ensure on time and quality client delivery.

    YOUR ROLE:

    The Senior Media Planner is a self-starter with a roll-up-sleeves mentality and a proven track record of success. In this role, you will be responsible for building and executing B2B and B2C integrated media plans operating as a collaborator with other departments like account, creative and analytics. You must be able to showcase innovative thinking and a firm understanding of the media landscape to build multi-channel paid media strategies, including broadcast, digital, social, and out-of-home.

    You will have fluency in top, middle and bottom funnel strategy development to meet client objectives at different funnel stages, articulate reporting findings, insights and recommendations You will execute campaign planning, implementation, execution and measurement of paid media across direct platforms and DSP ad partners coordinating the media buy and ensuring campaigns launch on time and on budget.

    You will develop and manage paid media investment strategies, budgets, channel mix, audience targeting strategies, asset languages and allocations for client paid media budgets. And, you will monitor and analyze in-flight and post campaign performance to make data-driven budget adjustments.

The Media Planner must possess a strong ability to learn, operate, and make timely decisions in an ambiguous, fast-paced agency environment, be detail-oriented with solid organizational skills and multitasking abilities, and deliver best-in-class media solutions that employ integrated thinking and ideas.

    In this role, you will drive the following areas:

  • Drives overall media process and manages go-to-market strategies and briefs to convey and manage media output and ensure best-in-class work.

  • Support agency capability for brand marketing, demand generation and lead generation, strategy marketing templates, methodologies to determine investment, channel mix and measurement.

  • Drives effective and efficient cross channel media strategies rooted in rationale

  • Responsible for staying on top of digital and media trends

  • Be a thought leader and write agency points of view on paid media that will be promoted on our agency website, social media, at events, etc.

  • Manages client and internal teams expectations around marketplace conditions and buying recommendations.

  • Be a process improvement champion, provide quality assurance and develop department best practices

  • Develops strong working knowledge of agency and industry systems and tools

    Client Consultancy:

  • Maintains strong professional relationships with clients, agency and vendor relationships

  • Aligns recommendations and decisions so they are consistent with marketing / advertising objectives and strategies.

  • Gains client approval on optimizations and budget shifts

  • Advise, train and support clients in implementing new marketing initiatives or technologies across their organizations as it relates to paid media.

  • Partner with clients to help them grow their understanding of paid media and best practices

  • Champion innovative solutions to help clients accelerate business growth

  • Keeps team apprised of key client opportunities, potential risks, and other key nuances which affect the health of the business

  • Accountable to leverage past campaign data and learnings to develop, refine and deliver implementation guidelines and improve future campaigns.

    Project Oversight:

  • Maximize paid media ROI on assigned accounts and perform daily optimization of campaigns, budget allocation, bidding management, ad creative testing, etc.

    YOUR EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 3 years of professional services experience in paid media strategy and planning working for an agency.

  • At least 5 years of experience in campaign execution and management including paid media management, A/B testing, reporting and analysis, and optimization strategy.

  • Programmatic/digital experience required.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Skilled in marketing automation technologies across the MarTech landscape (email, SEO/SEM, web, marketing stack, etc.).

  • Experience pulling data from paid media toolsets and building a client facing story

  • Bonus: experience in broadcast, terrestrial radio, and OOH planning

    SET YOURSELF APART:

  • Strong data and creative storytelling. Ability to align key messages to audiences, develop campaign voice, tone, and theme, and define strong engagement strategies that resonate with clients as it relates to performance marketing.

  • Deep knowledge of paid digital media channels and understanding of individual client’s needs, goals, markets, and expectations

  • Certifications in related paid media marketing platforms, and other tools/resources.

  • Proven track record of success in performance marketing supported by awards, campaign honors, etc.

    Salary range is USD 125,000 per annum to USD 145,000 per annum, depending on skills, experience, qualifications and location.
