Senior Software Engineers IIJob Description:Set the technical direction and priorities for a number of adjacent engineers. Design complex multi-service systems with complex external dependencies. Write high-quality code and contribute to the common code bases and standards for the team. Participate extensively in code reviews and tutor others via code reviews and pair programming. Apply an understanding of the business that their code supports and possess empathy for the users of their software to influence their task prioritization. Identify risks in code, features, and design, and communicate these to the appropriate parties. Identify problems and skillfully help their teams course-correct around these issues. Responsible for releases in their project areas and assists as on-call support.Job Requirements:1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and five (5) years of experience building developer productivity frameworks/tooling or REST/RPC-based apps (RDBMS-backed backend or web app frontend with frameworks such as React or Angular.js). **Will accept seven (7) years of experience building developer productivity frameworks/tooling or REST/RPC-based apps (RDBMS-backed backend or web app frontend with frameworks such as React or Angular.js) in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of experience requirements.2.Three (3) years of experience with Architecture and development of scalable production backend or frontend systems, which may have been gained as part of or in addition to the experience building developer productivity frameworks/tooling or REST/RPC-based apps 3.Additional experience must include: Service-oriented architecture Product delivery experience in IC or Lead roles Working with business stakeholders to understand business requirements and build solutions Modular infrastructure solutions such as AWS, GCP, Docker, and/or Kubernetes. Architecting complex SaaS products Reviewing code with focus in Software Architecture Agile and scrum Estimating and prioritizing business features Training your team in your area of domain or technical expertise Engaging in the process for hiring and interviewing software engineers Collaborating with Data Engineers on data pipelines or other complex data systems4.Must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.Employer: eShares, Inc. d/b/a Carta, Inc.
