FBG Enterprises Opco LLC Senior Staff Software Engineer in NEW YORK, New York

Senior Staff Software Engineer wanted by FBG Enterprises Opco LLC d/b/a Fanatics Betting & Gaming to work in New York, NY. Deliver reliable mobile application in line with our product roadmap and schedule. Define best practices, frameworks and 3rd party business intelligence tools and ensure proper deployment within the platform. Evaluate new technologies and open sources to recommend improvements for applications and systems. Work closely with our internal and external development teams, spanning from Sports Data to Core Services to Personalization, to deliver a stable and reliable application inline with our product roadmap and schedule. Architect the key systems and data pipelines to be used to ingest data from 3rd party providers and design the implementation to expose that data to customers across FBG applications. Design brand-new, industry-leading data ingestion systems that automatically process data from disparate data sources into canonicalized entries that can be used by FBG's services. Guide teammates in the implementation of the design. Be the final approver of architecture, process proposals, and code output from team members and stakeholders to make sure they align with the company's vision, our quality bar, and existing system design. You will sign off on technologies, programming languages per implementation (e.g. Java, JavaScript, Python), and best practices for the Sports Data Platform organization. Be the primary technical owner for our sports data feed handlers, processors, storage, and the GraphQL and RESTful APIs we expose. Be responsible for ensuring their ability to scale, be redundant, and be available (e.g. proper cloud services configuration, understanding 3rd party API contracts and rate limiting, etc.). Define best practices, frameworks, and our 3rd party business intelligence tools and ensure they are properly deployed within the platform. Gain a fundamental understanding of our product, feature, and roadmap and work closely with the product to make the right technology decisions to enable the team for streamlined growth and future development. Work on complex integrations between various companies and 3rd parties as well as deliver platforms and solutions to provide value to our end users and other engineering teams. Occasional travel to Fanatics Betting & Gaming offices and other locations for conferences, events, meetings, and team-building activities.Salary range from $169,229.00 to $288,915.00 per year plus benefits. Requires Master’s Degree in Computer Science or closely related, and 1 year of experience in the job offered, or in software development using Java, Python, TypeScript, and Git.
