Amazon Studios Event Security Manager, Protective Services Studios in New York, New York

We are looking for an Event Security Manager to join a team of security professionals who are responsible for broad range of support, plus delivery and enhancement of our physical event security program.

The special event security manager will support Amazon MGM Studios, Prime Video and other Media and Entertainment live events worldwide. This position will focus on the safety, security, and privacy of our customers, vendors, and associates while ensuring company event goals are accomplished. Our ideal candidate will have a hybrid of skills: ability to participate, influence and lead within cross functional teams, solution and action oriented with excellent communication skills.

You will be focused on how to grow, scale and optimize efforts in a high-tech, fast pace, physical environment. We are seeking a proven self-starter that is driven by results and comes to the table with innovative ideas in which the results speak for themselves. Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 10+ years management experience preferably in a security, law enforcement or military discipline.

• 5+ years of proven leadership experience in a global role.

• Experience with vendor management and diverse range of services background.

• Security and safety training skills, qualification or experience.

• Experience with live broadcast events and working with production to stay on schedule

• Experience with project management and working independently.

• Experience using with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) in a professional environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with senior company leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to travel on short notice for domestic and international projects up to 50% of the year

• High ethical standards with proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information, excellent judgment, discretion and diplomacy.

• Film and Television security experience preferred

• Red Carpet/Public Event security and safety experience.

• Experience researching, gathering, and analyzing structured event data/trends

• Ability to adapt to fast paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy

• Ability to maintain composure under pressure.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $83,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $170,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
