The Mount Sinai Health System Supplier Diversity Manager - Materials Management - Mount Sinai Hospital - Full Time - Day in New York, New York

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Supplier Diversity manager will support the development, implementation, management, reporting and leading of all aspects of Mount Sinai Health Systems Supplier Diversity Program. This role will serve as a key resource regarding the analytics oversite and strategic growth of MSHSs supplier diversity efforts, as well as remain knowledgeable concerning the availability, capabilities and development of diverse suppliers. This position will be responsible for managing MSHSs relationships with internal and external constituents and organizations that focus on the development and economic empowerment of diverse firms.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Lead MSHSs overall supplier diversity efforts.

  2. Represent MSHSs supplier diversity program at internal and external networking events while actively engaging in the promotion and recognition of MSHSs supplier diversity efforts.

  3. Oversee MSHSs support of supplier diversity while managing the relationships with MSHSs group purchasing organization, distributor, suppliers, Procurement, Diversity & Inclusion, Construction, IT, Marketing and other internal departments to seek opportunities to partner with diverse suppliers.

  4. Ensure accurate reporting of MSHSs Tier 1 and Tier 2 diversity spend as well as monitor, analyze and report trends, benchmark data and emerging practices to internal and external stakeholders.

  5. Execute strategic plans to maximize Tier 1 and Tier 2 spend with diverse suppliers.

  6. Manage relationships with 3 rd party providers of supplier diversity solutions and software.

  7. Develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with select diverse firms.

  8. Work with Procurement and Buyers to pre-qualify diverse suppliers, review performance,

Resolve issues and provide guidance to enhance diverse supplier capabilities and growth opportunities.

  1. Manage MSHSs Supplier Diversity web page including content maintenance and updates.

  2. Other duties assigned as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.

  • 2 - 5+ years of Supplier Diversity and/or Strategic Sourcing experience.

  • Contracting experience is a plus to help lead and successfully guide suppliers through MSHSs procurement processes.

  • Demonstrated leadership and partnership abilities within business communities.

  • Microsoft Office Suite Skills including: Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, and Outlook. (Including experience with pivot tables, data analysis, databases, etc.)
