Job Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Source investment opportunities through attendance at conferences, interactions with other internal and external advisors and meetings with executives across consumer, technology, media, and telecommunications industries. Organize and lead due diligence sessions with advisors and external management teams. Build and analyze financial models to assess the attractiveness and financial risk and return of potential private equity investment opportunities. Draft and present investment committee memorandums for investment opportunities. Evaluate risks and attractions of investment opportunities across key investment sectors, including consumer, technology, media, and telecommunications industries. Provide guidance to Associates and Analysts on producing key deliverables and analyses as well as on project management. Negotiate transaction terms and structures of equity investments. Prepare fund raising materials and presentations for investors. Job Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related role or bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related role. Prior experience must include three (3) years with a Master’s degree or five (5) years with a Bachelor’s degree with the following: conducting due diligence sessions with advisors and external management teams across financial, legal, tax, environmental, insurance and compliance work streams; assessing detailed financial analysis using knowledge of accounting, valuation techniques, leverage, and industry benchmarks; building and applying complex financial models, including the leveraged buy-out model, discounted cash flow model, as well as peer-based valuation methods; developing investment theses for new investment opportunities, drafting investment committee memorandums, and subsequently presenting them to senior leadership; negotiating transaction documentation, such as term sheets, share purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, option plans and grants, and insurance documentation; preparing fund raising materials and presentations for investors that explain historical performance, investment processes, and private equity investment strategies; analyzing, evaluating, and executing mid and large cap (enterprise value of $500 million and more) buyout transactions in the consumer, technology, media, and telecommunications industries; and monitoring the performance of private equity portfolio companies, assessing the impact of capital structure changes, and providing them with strategic advice on relevant transaction opportunities. FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) and Series 79 must be obtained within six (6) months of hire. Domestic and international travel is required approximately 10% of the time for board meetings of portfolio companies, industry conferences, due diligence meetings, and meeting of prospective companies.Job Code: 7400925Salary Range: The expected annual base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $174,000 - $300,000.
