Morgan Stanley VP, Banks FRM Stress Testing Lead in New York, New York

Background on the Position The role will reside within the Firm Risk Management's Stress Testing Team to support the Banks' stress testing programs and capital planning initiatives, managing the stress loss scenario framework, contributing to broad stress testing activities, and administering the governance framework and documentation processes.

The role involves working with a variety of business units and risk professionals across the organization. This position offers opportunities to gain exposure to all aspects of stress testing and capital planning and to senior risk managers. The group works in close collaboration with subject matter experts in Market Risk, Credit Risk, Capital, Risk Analytics, Model Risk Management, as well as other departments within MSBNA, MSPBNA and the Firm.

Primary Responsibilities

Manage scenario design programs across Firm Risk Management for MSBNA and MSPBNA Lead quarterly updates for the Banks' stress scenarios, including project management, scenario development, governance, review and challenge Coordinate Severely Adverse scenario design for the Banks including review of external environment and risk profile implications Host scenario design sessions with key senior stakeholders across the Banks Coordinate and ensure linkage of risk identification to scenario design Maintain Banks' specific scenario design procedures and ensure adequate controls are performed across scenario development process

Experience

Familiarity with stress testing, scenario design, and CCAR at a large bank preferred Proven leadership abilities and relationship building skills Attention to detail and ability to prioritize projects and workload Experience working under pressure and performing to tight deadlines Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $190,000 year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
