Job Overview:

Location: New York or Stamford preferred; remote Contractors will also be considered

Project Hours: 40 hours per week

The Sustainability Contractor will support the US based Procurement team to ensure performance against group targets, new initiatives are developed and progressed, and processes are in place to manage our data effectively. The role will need to collaborate with functional teams, such as Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Technology, Client Services, and Marketing Communications. adm is committed to sustainable marketing and this role will support adm and our client in achieving our goals.

Project Support

Support Global and Regional Initiatives:       

• Support the development of adm’s global sustainability program (“From Purpose to Impact”) and implement each pillar and objective across the region.

• Work on sustainability-focused initiatives across the region and elevate the sustainability agenda across the adm Group.

  Initiatives and Program Evolution:    

• Identify and develop further sustainability initiatives to ensure the ongoing reduction of environmental impact, responsible sourcing, and promotion of human rights through the supply chain.

• Conduct research on industry best practices, new technologies, regulatory changes, and trends in sustainability and ESG to inform strategy and projects.

  Regional Sustainability Champion:  

• Act as a champion for sustainability in the region, influencing change and driving best practices in collaboration with regional functions.

• Support engagement with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies, to communicate sustainability initiatives and gather feedback.

  Project Management and Reporting:

• Track and manage project delivery timelines, communicate status to internal stakeholders, and support the implementation of reporting on aligned sustainability targets and ambitions.

• Help in preparing sustainability and ESG reports, including drafting content, compiling data, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and frameworks like GRI, SASB, or TCFD.

• Provide logistical and administrative support for sustainability projects, such as coordinating meetings, managing timelines, and communicating with stakeholders.

  Training and Presentations:

• Support the implementation of a Global Sustainability Training program for all adm employees and provide information, collateral, and case studies for global and regional client presentations as required. 

• Assist in developing communications materials, such as newsletters, website content, or social media posts, to highlight the company's sustainability efforts.

  Data Collection and Analysis:             

• Assist in gathering and analyzing data related to the company's environmental impact, including energy usage, waste management, water conservation, and carbon footprint.
