Description
We are offering a contract for a permanent position as an Access Ops Agent in Newark, California. As an Access Ops Agent, you will be responsible for handling numerous inbound and outbound calls, organizing appointments, maintaining patient records, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently manage inbound and outbound calls, faxes, and other communication with patients, providers, and clinic staff.
• Coordinate patient care by scheduling, editing, and maintaining routine appointments for new and returning patients.
• Facilitate effective communication between patients and physicians or clinics.
• Accurately document and route calls to the appropriate department.
• Identify urgent customer needs or operational issues and escalate them as necessary.
• Collaborate with care teams, patients, and external facilities to obtain necessary information required for care.
• Update and maintain insurance information.
• Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards.
• Deliver a high level of customer service and follow documented protocols and guidelines.
• Use reference documents and online knowledgebase tools to provide accurate information about services.
• Utilize the functionality of the telephone system as required.
• Perform other departmental duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Demonstrated proficiency in Customer Service
• Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal
• Prior experience in Operations, preferably in a healthcare setting
• Ability to confidently handle Answering Inbound Calls
• Experience in Schedule Appointments in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with Database management and Scheduling tools
• Experience in handling both Inbound and Outbound Calls
• Knowledge of Insurance procedures and protocols
• Experience working in a Facility or clinic setting
• Ability to manage Financial Notes and records
• Understanding of Clinical Trial Operations is a plus
• Experience in handling Medical Records
• Familiarity with medical Protocols and Compliance Functions
• Ability to accurately Distribute Faxes to appropriate recipients
• Editing skills, with a focus on precision and detail
• Knowledge of Health Care industry standards and practices
• Familiarity with Epic Software is a plus
• Proficiency in Medical Terminology
• Experience with Phone System operations in a busy setting
• Experience working in Clinics or other healthcare facilities
• Prior experience in a Contact Center environment
• Ability to efficiently Route Incoming Calls
• Understanding of Business Logic in a healthcare setting
