JPMorgan Chase Trade Lifecycle Manager III in Newark, Delaware

Job Summary:

As a Trade Lifecycle Manager within our Securities Settlements team, you will oversee the entire process of securities settlements lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include managing a team, ensuring risk metrics related to various reconciliations and settlement objectives are met. You will be expected to be a thought leader, possess a control mindset, and have the capability to manage key initiatives.

Job responsibilities:

  • Manage Reconciliation for North America, Latin America and Canadian markets, managing the Reconciliation lifecycle from identification, analysis to resolution

  • Supervise a team size of 5 members in Newark, manage recruitment, performance, and development

  • Support the timely and accurate processing of securities settlements through the monitoring and resolution of complex issues

  • Manage a team of analysts and associates to investigate & resolve trade-related breaks in accordance with the established work practices and procedures.

  • Daily/ Weekly monitoring of key metrics and providing updates to senior management and operations group and take on challenging projects to promote process streamlining and prepare senior level management reporting/presentations as required

  • Interact daily with clients, internal stakeholders, counterparties, traders, custodian banks and senior management

  • Ensure adherence to various KPIs, metrics, and standards as they pertain to exception management

  • Will be required to master the complexities of various equity and fixed income products as well as gain a solid understanding of our business model and infrastructure

  • Recognize potential for greater process and reporting efficiencies and make recommendations for improvements

  • Understand the changing group/regulatory requirements and conduct assessment/ monitoring on operations to ensure in compliance with the standards and Identify any risks or gaps in processes and work with management and the team to implement a better process

  • Participate in multiple system initiatives and projects and contribute to idea generation for future process or technological improvements. Expected to participate on both a local and global level. Participate in site wide agendas & drive a positive culture across the campus

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Must be composed and detail oriented

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task

  • Strong knowledge of financial markets and products

  • Ability to work in a fast paced deadline driven environment with an emphasis on risk mitigation and efficiency

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in a professional setting is required

  • Good interpersonal and team building skills

  • Ability to pass Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam and FINRA Series 99 Operations Professional exam within 120 days.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor degree in Finance or related field and/or equivalent work experience preferred

  • 7+ years of work experience, preferably in financial services in operational, program or client experience disciplines
