KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Global operations function in an ongoing basis will design and deliver strategic initiatives to streamline, improve efficiencies or reduce time to market of operations and supply chain functions including recruitment periodically. The Lead for these initiatives will assist Head of Global operations with strategy and advisory inputs to develop a best-in-class operations excellence ecosystem. The activities will be including but not limited to re-imagining and re-engineering operations processes, designing an operations tools & systems transformation roadmap, identifying strategic opportunities for investment and delivering on the company's strategic objectives. In this role, the incumbent will partner with the EC and the ELT to deliver outcomes for the Organization. Key interfaces with, but not limited to, CEO, EC and their teams, OE Leadership, Corporate functions as well as BU leaders and their teams. This critical, trusted leadership role serves as the strategy & transformation officer to the Global Head of Operations. Reporting to the Global Head of Operations, the Lead for Global Operations Strategic initiatives is a full-time assignment requiring a strong commitment to mission in a highly matrixed and complex global Fortune 200 organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Manage workforce planning in conjunction with the EC and SWP and use insights to build a talent acquisition strategy including lateral hires, university students, interns, etc.
* Partner closely with HR colleagues and business leaders to understand business priorities, required hiring volumes, new initiatives, and resulting implications for talent acquisition
* Manage employer marketing/branding strategy for talent acquisition (supporting materials and activities)
* Define and oversee reporting on most critical recruiting and recruiter metrics
* Prioritize target recruiting pools and closely monitor key metrics leading to hiring conversion
* Act as a single point of contact for applicants in the NA region
* Maintain relationships with key sources of talent (campus career offices, industry SME networks, etc.).
* Identify and recommend external talent for open positions
* Collaborate with IT on development of systems to support talent acquisition strategy
* Proactively identify opportunities to leverage technology (e.g., automation, self service) to improve time to hire and improve candidate experience
* Demonstrate and champion expected leadership behaviors
* Implement Cognizant best practices for recruiting, retaining and developing talent
* Train direct reports and share regular feedback for performance enhancement
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Recruitment knowledge: Deep understanding of how to implement a robust recruiting strategy
* Collaboration: Excellent communication, presentation, team building and interpersonal skills
* Management skills: Manage relationships with industry groups, trade associations, key stakeholders (internal and external)
* Integrity: High level of integrity and strict adherence to D&I guidance
* Industry and business knowledge: Deep understanding of business including products, distribution and strategy
* Leadership capabilities: Ability to lead large multinational organization
EXPERIENCE
* 20+ HR recruiting experience; with minimum 8 years in leadership roles
* Familiarity with recruiting best practices for experienced and junior hires
* Demonstrated ability and implementing successful, creative, and forward thinking recruitment strategies
* Data/technology acumen required
* Previous experience in IT services industry preferred
