ABOUT THIS ROLE
As an AV Events Program Manager you will oversee the portion of Audible’s event portfolio that require AV components. In this role, the AV Events Program Manager is the primary point of contact for assessment, planning, and operational management of AV events. The team is based out of Newark, NJ but provides global support. You will ensure the team has mechanisms, infrastructure, and resources in place to support a wide variety of events including in-person, hybrid, and virtual. You are the primary point of contact for the customer, you are responsible in facilitating the booking assessment, planning, on-site operations, show calling, live event operations, and post-production requirements. Successful team members step seamlessly into a corporate events environment, have strong organizational skills, ability to work across multiple teams in Audible and Amazon, demonstrate impeccable customer service, and are energetically driven to meet the needs of their customers and the team.
ABOUT YOU
You have experience supporting live events. You can be strategic and are influenced by Technology and Culture but balance that with execution of daily tasks to maintain a high bar for customer service. Not every request will have a clear starting point so you should be comfortable dealing with ambiguity to assess and manage requests and have situational awareness to anticipate and resolve potential issues. When an issue does arise, you always attempt to look for the root cause and solve problems with a bigger picture in mind. As an AV Events Program Manager, you will...
Be a POC for team, customers, organizers, production engineers, livestream technicians, third-party production providers and over-hire labor
Ensure that resources are scheduled and prepared for event support
Seeks opportunities to help others improve skillsets and knowledge base
Maintains multiple operations calendars and databases
Manage applicable inventories and budgets
Ensure event requests are on triaged, planned for and executed comprehensively
Dynamically flex to customer needs and complications, escalates appropriately
Maintain a flexible schedule to support key aspects of events
Manages any necessary technical testing or technical rehearsals
Lead or support event day show flow creation, show calling, and stage management
Lead or support onsite production engineers through load in, pre-show operations, post-show wrap up, and load out
Partner with the AV Operations team and other technical resources to manage technical needs and issues
Find opportunities to execute events more efficiently and delight our customers
Maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the business
Manage and optimize relationships with vendors that augment your team’s capacity and capabilities
Create regular reports to share insights with leadership
Manage Team Goals, and programmatic initiatives, with increased ambiguity
Own your team’s operational excellence, including creation of and monitoring of metrics and alerts, gathering of and analyzing customer feedback, regular scrutinization of processes, and maintaining documentation
Be able to travel about 5 times a year

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of program or project management experience
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
5+ years of experience in event or production management
2+ years of show calling experience
5+ years of experience with audio, video, lighting, and staging systems.
2+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
Demonstrated ability to maintain and manage complex calendaring systems and databases
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
3+ years of driving process improvements experience
Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
Experience managing vendors
Experience supporting livestream platforms
Networking experience
Technical certifications for AV hardware and services
