Job Summary
Energy Efficiency is one of the fastest growing businesses in the country. Due to recent NJ legislation, NJ utilities are being held accountable to reach challenging energy efficient targets. The legislation will require a five to tenfold increase in workload. In order for PSE&G to meet its regulatory requirement, we need to assist our suppliers in the recruitment and training of the workforce that will implement these energy efficient projects. In addition, through our Diversity & Inclusion efforts, we have committed to grow our use of Minority, Women, and Veteran Business Enterprise (MWVBE) suppliers.
This position is responsible for the continued development of PSE&G’s Clean Energy Job Program, which includes modification and enhancements to our implementation plans for our EE suppliers’ performance with respect to job hiring, and use of MWVBE sub-contractors. The PSE&G Clean Energy Jobs Program includes working with the Department of Labor (i.e., federal and state) regarding recruitment and grant opportunities as well as numerous community agencies. The MWVBE initiatives includes, monitoring commitments by our Tier one/Prime suppliers regarding MWVBE hiring, reviewing MWVBE performance and development of a Tier 2 pipeline of qualified MWVBE suppliers.
Job Responsibilities
Building relationships with key stakeholders from the New Jersey Department of Labor (NJ DOL), community organizations, state and local officials
Participation on behalf of management at executive and external leadership meetings
Manage the program budget including developing budget proposals, justifying expenses, and monitoring expenditures
Manage key performance indicators, scorecard and milestone metrics
Working with our EE suppliers to refine program key performance indicators and implement future offerings to support long-term program goals
Working with our recruiting partnerships (NJ DOL and Community Partners) and our EE suppliers on recruiting and job placement
Work in conjunction with State and Governmental Affairs to build external partnerships and program growth
Supervision and development of internal support staff
Job Specific Qualifications
Required:
BS degree in Business, Engineering, Communications or 8 years equivalent functional experience.
Atleast 7 years of PM experience
Knowledge of Contract Management compliance
Applicant must have effective problem-solving and decision-making skills, strong planning and organizing skills, must be adaptable and be result-oriented.
Process development / improvement and project management skills.
Clear and concise writing and verbal communication skills are essential.
Internal consulting skills; strong presentation skills; proven ability to lead, coach and motivate a team.
Experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, SharePoint and Visio.
Must have a Valid Driver’s License
PMP certification will be required within two years of taking the position.
Desired:
Knowledge of Energy Efficiency work practices and training
2 years of Project Management related to workforce development
Current PSE&G Six Sigma Black or Green Belt Candidate.
Track record of managing complex multi-disciplined teams and projects.
Advanced Degree
