WSP USA Senior Vice President, Project Management in Newark, New Jersey
This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Project Manager for our Newark NJ office . Be involved in projects with our Transportation Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s, NJ objectives and solves their challenges.
WSP is seeking a dynamic seller-doer to manage large and complex transit and rail design projects. The right candidate will need to leverage a strong background in proposal development, design management, and commercial management to help WSP win and deliver design-bid-build (DBB) and design-build (DB) projects.
Your Impact
Supporting Northeast District leadership in strategy and decision-making
Building WSP's pipeline
Serving as pursuit manager and developing proposals for major design projects
Serving as project manager on major DBB and DB projects
Mentoring deputy project managers and discipline leads
Supporting key client relationship management and marketing efforts
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related discipline
Registered Professional Engineer in New York and New Jersey
At least 15 years of experience in horizontal rail infrastructure and station/facility design
At least 10 years of Project Management experience
Prior experience serving as design manager on successful design-build projects in the transit and rail environment
Superior communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Project experience on the Northeast Corridor, in New York City, and on Long Island
Experience with underground and elevated station ADA improvement projects
Experience with rehabilitation of existing structures in and around the live operating transit environment
