TheCo-Managerat a Starbucks quick service restaurant located in Newark Airport is responsible for assisting the Store Manager and General Manager in overseeing all aspects of store operations, ensuring a seamless customer experience, and maintaining Starbucks' high-quality standards. The role involves both managerial and hands-on tasks.

What You’ll Do:

  • Team Management: Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising a team of baristas and other staff members. Provide coaching, feedback, and support to ensure high performance and a positive work environment.

  • Operations Management: Help manage daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.

  • Customer Service: Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service by creating a welcoming and friendly environment. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback.

  • Quality Control: Maintain Starbucks' beverage and food quality standards. Monitor product freshness and presentation to ensure that products meet the brand's specifications.

  • Sales and Financial Management: Assist in driving sales by promoting specials, upselling, and implementing strategies to increase revenue. Monitor and manage store expenses within budgetary guidelines.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety guidelines, and company policies. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the store.

  • Training and Development: Assist in conducting ongoing training programs for new and existing team members to enhance their skills and product knowledge.

  • Reporting: Provide regular reports to the Store Manager on store performance, sales trends, customer feedback, and operational issues.

  • Problem Solving: Address operational challenges, customer complaints, and other issues as they arise. Collaborate with the Store Manager to find solutions.

    What You’ll Need:

  • Previous experience in the food service or retail industry, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Customer-focused attitude and the ability to create a positive atmosphere for both customers and staff.

  • Basic understanding of financial and inventory management.

  • Knowledge of Starbucks products and standards.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, especially in an airport setting.

  • Must be able to pass airport background check.
